1a. He continued to go to sea because it has always been his dream to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a sailor, and he wasnt gonna let some shark ruin that.
1b. He would not have been afraid of the sea his whole life and would have sailed the sea with greater power then he did.
1c. It probably would have been some kind of shark, since The Colomber was a rare shark.

a.He's very eager and he can't stay away from the sea.He wants to find out what is following him.
b.He could of not been so worried about the Colomber so much. Also that when he went sailing he wouldn't always have to look for it and ask others if they saw it. He could of sailed more and wouldn't have to stay on shore so much.
c.It was probably his imagination that had him thinking it was a sea monster. Since his dad told him a story when he was younger about the Colomber. He might have been just seeing a shadow of his own boat when sailing.
d.What you see is always not there. Your imagination makes you believe what you see. You can use your imagination to be creative and take you to places in your mind.

1a.Stefano is curious,brave, and also a little crazy to want to go out to sea and try to indentify this creature.
1b. If Stefano would have faced the colomber as a young child,it may of been a heartstopping moment for him.
1c. He wanted to believe that something was in the sea.
1d. Stefano is a brave person who thinks differntly than enyone else about the colomber.

1a. Stefano kept risking his life at sea becase he could not stop thinking about the colomber and he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps.
1b. He would have had a happy life and would not have wasted his life sailing.
1c. I think that the "monster" that kept him coming back to the sea was his love of the sea.
1d. I think the author is telling you not to believe eveything you hear because Stefano wasted his life thinking about something that wasn't real.

1a, Beacuse he loved the sea since he was a little boy and wanted to have his own ship when he was older. 1b, He would have been able to be around the sea for more time then he was in his life. 1c, I think it would have been just a normal shark. Because how they explained itin the beging that is what i thought of right away. 1d, That it had more of a deeper meaning than just a gigantic shark creature following him around. 1,Astern 2,Wake 3,Pretext 4,Dissuaded 5,Intermittently 6,Indefinable 7,Scrutinized 8, Expedient 9,Obession 10,Ominously.
