I think hunting is and isn't comparable to war because you "hunt" the enemy in war and same thing in hunting animals. In war you track people just like Jack hunted the pig. War and hunting are both planned and researched ideas. War and hunting you need nessecary tools which requires research. Although in hunting the animals can't fight back with weapons. In war people are smarter than animals and can fight back with guns. The only defense animals have really is camoflauge and speed. People trick poor animals ino traps. Animals don't invade people territories like people invade other peoples spaces. That's why i think hunting is and ins't camparable. This can be seen from both sides.

I think hunting is and is not comparable to war due to in both scenarios you are in survival mode. For example, on one side you are hoping that the tactics, skills, and etc that were taught to you back home have prepared you well enough so that you are not killed, while at war. But on the other hand, you are also hoping to kill a animal. However, it doesn't really apply to how Jack was trying to put it. For example, when Roger was throwing nuts to Henry, as we can see the need to hunt wasn't really necessary due to there were other foods to get there source of protein, grains, fruits, and vegetables. In addition, it isn't as comparable for animals can really fight back due to what they usually encounter which is other animals. Unlike, in war where both sides know what they are in for. Also, i think hunting is and is not comparable to war because, i both ideas you a human is killing someone or something for something in return. For example, you have war where people who disagree with each other are killing each other. Expecting, one side gives up, a compromise is made, and etc. But, in hunting, a human is killing an animal looking forward to using it as a source of food. For example, when Jack could of killed a pig but, choose not to do so. As we can see hunting and war isn't comparable due to in war if you decide to not fire when your commander says if anything in sight fire, then you will b criticized for not doing so because, that could of been your while flight or platoon dead. In hunting, the person killing the animal has more control of the situation due to they are not being told when to kill he animal nor are they being pressured. They have the right i guess to do what they fell would be best. Overall, this is why hunting and war is and is not comparable.

I think hunting and war are not comparable. They are two completely different things. Hunting is the activity of hunting wild animals as a sport or to gather food. War means being in an armed conflict with another nation fighting for yours. At war you kill other people for the people you love and care for. Hunting you don't do the same thing, you kill an animal and eat it for your own sake. You wouldn't just go out and kill someone like you would at war unless you are insane. Hunting you can do that, you go out and kill something and come home with it. Those are my reasons why hunting and war are not comparable.

Yes I do think hunting is comparable to war because you are taking the life of another living creature and helping someone in some way. In both cases you are using a lethal weapon to take the life of another being. In both you must be alert and be able to do what has to be done. You either fight for yourself or your country in war and for the fun or for the nessesity of hunting. In war you are fighting for what is right or what you believe in and in hunting you are doing it for sport or food. They are still similar in the sense that you are going to help someone by feeding or protecting them. In both choices you are helping someone and usually they are greatful for your help.

When Jack compares hunting to the war, I do think that they are comparable. I think they are comparable because when you are in a war you are fighting or looking for the enemy or people that you want/need to kill. Just like when you are hunting for something like animal, you are going to kill it. Also, both involve guns or rifles or some kind of weapon to kill whether in a war or hunting. They are similar because you are trying to accomplish a goal in both.
The goal for hunting would be to kill the animal. The goal in war would be to kill the enemy. If the goal is not accomplished in the war, you have let your country down. If not accomplished in hunting, you have just let yourself down because you wanted to kill the animal for yourself.

I feel like hunting is and isn't like war. War is like looking for people and killing them to like save your country. Also how hunting is like war is you're still kiling someone/something so it's kind of an act of war. Also they're both palnned and you need the same kinds of equipment to hunt and do the war. But hunting isn't like war in the asspect that you're killing an animal usually so it's not like you're killing a human being. Also, you usually hunt for eating while in the war you're just killing the people to save your country. Hunting can also be considered a sport and war isn't considered a sport at all. War is an act of bravery and honer for our country.

It has been awhile since I read the Lord of The Rings, I should say. Speaking of which, when I needed to renew information on the book, I came across this blog and this article in particular, which made it to where I got to restore in my memory what I needed to be restored. bigpaperwriter.com/blog/essay-on-lord-of-the-flies

I think that hunting isn't comparable to war; it is something different! They are completely different!
