1A.Stefano is a curious boy and always has been. His father warned him about the Colomber, but he was so fasinated because of the stories. When someone truly wants to know about something, they don’t give up until they find the explaination they're looking for. Stefano did believe his father when he told him that his life was at risk. Stefano took that as a chance to see if this was true or just a myth. When he comes back to sea as an adult, he felt more freedom to venture to the colombers territory because his father wasn’t around to "protect" him from the horrifying beast. Stefano wassimply curious and decided to console that curiosity.
1B.He wouldn’t have wasted his entire life afraid and curious, if he had just done what he had at the end of the story instead of the beginning. If Stefano faced the colomber earlier, he would have received the pearl and wouldn’t have had a miserable life due to the weight on his shoulders of the unknown. Since the pearl brought luck, power, love, and peace of mind, Stefano's life most likely would have been more worthwhile.
1C.The voice in his head. Stefano's own thoughts and concious was the colomber. That is what had kept him returning to the sea. In the end of the story, the "colomber" talks to him. This is really Stefano thinking to himself in a way. The whole time, Stefano assumed the colomber to be a horrible monster on a mision to kill but in the end he had realised that if he hadn't let his thoughts get to him, he could have lived a better life.He learned to face his fears by listening to his own heart and thoughts.
1D.The author is trying to send a message to the reader explaining that you should face your fears. If one faces their fears, the outcome could be remarkable. Stefano feared what would happen if he faced the colomber (his fear), but he did anyways. In return for that, Stefano received a pearl that would have brought him so many wonderful things. Face your fear/s and you could concure anything.

1a. He had an interpid spirit beliving that he could sail on the sea even when the colomber was still in the sea, and as his compainions would sail along with him he'd asked if they see anything in the water and they reply ''No, why do you ask?'' then Sefano would reply back to them '' You havent happened to see the colomber, have you?'' the companions laughed repling ''No, and if the colomber is cahsing us then one of us is doomed. Stefano new who was the one that was doomed, but didn't make him to slacken.
1b. I think Stefano would have had died because since he's was a little kid he promabaly would like to see the colomber up close
1c. I'd say it wouuld have been his father, because erlier before he even turned twenty-two years old,he decided to return back to the sea and started saling himself evn when the colomber was still out there and his father had told him not to return there ever again.
1d. The auther is trying to tell the reader that Stefano is a person that is trying to chase his dreams no matter what comes his way, like in the story what he said, ''I wasn’t to go to sea with you. And I shall command ships even more beatutiful and bigger than yours.'' After those words and they spotted the colomer his father told him never to return to the water again. Before he turned twenty-two he became a really great sailor and had compainions with. That’s how the reader knows that Stefano will chase his dreams no matter what comes his way.
2. Astern, intermittently, scrutinized, obstinately, expedient, inexorable, abyss, intepid, sever, merchantman.
